Zack Stentz Biography
Zack Stentz (Real name- Zackary Lowell) is an American writer and producer of film and television, journalist, novelist, and teacher, who was born on September 13. He is most popular for his work on Marvel properties with former writing partner Ashley Edward Miller.
Stentz is a native of Fort Bragg, California. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in journalism. As a journalist, Stenz wrote and edited for publications such as The Economist, Esquire, Sports Illustrated, and Entertainment Weekly. In the early 1990s, Stenz was also an environmental activist for Earth First!

Zack Stentz And Ashley Miller
After graduating with a degree in Journalism from UC Santa Cruz, he worked for Metro Silicon Valley, writing about television, books and popular culture, as well as the Sonoma County Independent (now the North Bay Bohemian) Publisher Dan Pulcrano tapped Stentz in 1997, to oversee Metro’s rebranding and launch of its San Francisco monthly, The Metropolitan.
From 2000 to 2015, after turning to screenwriting full-time, he worked with writing partner Ashley Edward Miller, beginning with Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda. Zack Stentz first met screenwriter and producer, Ashley Miller, while working on Andromeda. Stentz and Miller along with two other writers, co-wrote the screenplay for the 2003 film Agent Cody Banks.
Stentz and Ashley Miller continued their writing partnership after the end of the television series Andromeda, and began to work on the Fox Television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Over the series run, they co-wrote six episodes and co-produced twenty-two episodes together. Ashley Miller and Stentz moved onto another Fox project, Fringe, when Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was not renewed for a third season.
The Duo co-produced twenty two episodes along with co-writing a total of four episodes, over the two seasons that they worked on the series.Disney purchased an original spec script written by Miller and Stentz entitled; The Feynman Chronicles in 2006. Miller has stated the film was basically a “Bar Bet” between himself and Stentz. Miller & Stentz were hired in 2010 to write the screenplay for the summer tent-pole live-action version of Thor after they left Fringe.
Miller and Stentz attended a meeting with Fox executives who offered them the chance to work with producer Bryan Singer and director Matthew Vaughn by penning a draft of the screenplay for the film X-Men: First Class following their work on Thor.
Both Ashley Miller and Stentz expressed their happiness with the tone of the film after finishing the script and beginning production. They complimented Singer, in an interview, for conceiving the vision and the scenes. Miller and Stentz released their first novel on November 8, 2012, titled Colin Fischer, a young adult story about a student with Asperger’s Syndrome entering high school. Ashley Miller and Stentz were hired in December 2009, to write the screenplay adaptation for Damn Nation, the Dark Horse Comics horror comic book mini-series.
