She studied at the Hunter College High School in Manhattan, New York City, New York. She then joined Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
In 2001, she joined ABC News as a correspondent for NewsOne, ABC’s affiliate news service, and from 2005 to 2007, she anchored the overnight broadcast ABC World News Now, she appeared regularly on World News Now and Good Morning America.
She has reported on a number of high-profile criminal cases from the West Coast, including the trials of Robert Blake and Michael Jackson, and the disappearance and murder of Laci Peterson in Modesto, California. She also reported on the rising tensions in the region from the Middle East. She covered the medical progress of a pair of formerly conjoined twins.
She reported from Washington, D.C. and New York, as a NewsOne correspondent, covering breaking news, including extensive post-September 11, 2001 coverage. Before joining ABC News, she was a political reporter at NY1 News covering the 2000 United States Senate campaign of Hillary Clinton and the mayoralty of Rudy Giuliani. She covered the September 11 attacks and their aftermath.
