Over the previous two decades, Ackels has worked at ESPN in a variety of capacities, beginning as a production assistant and progressing to associate producer, producer, and coordinating producer in event production. His work includes college baseball, basketball, and football, as well as X Games, The Spelling Bee, the NFL Draft, and the NBA Draft.
In his career, Ackels has won two Sports Emmy Awards.
