Hayes is a Multimedia Journalist/Reporter for WBTV. She anchors every Morning weekdays from 5-7 a.m. She is a Multimedia Journalist/Reporter who joined the WBTV Morning Show team in January 2019. Hayes graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with degrees in Psychology and Journalism. She developed her love for news, storytelling, and community involvement while interning at WBTV’s sister station, WBRC. In addition, she got her start in news as an Assignment Desk Editor before accepting a position at WBRC as a news content specialist. There, she primarily worked behind the scenes filming, editing, and putting together content until she took a position at WACH in Columbia as an MMJ/Reporter in December 2016.
