Sara Eisen Biography
Eisen went to the Wisconsin chapter of Camp Ramah. Ramah is a Jewish camp that operates in many countries including Canada, Israel, and the United States. While at the camp she was interested in theater and dance. She becomes a staff member of the camp as an aerobics instructor for two years.
She later enrolled at the New York University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree. She then graduated with a masters degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Eisen started her career with Forex TV which was a local Cable news channel. After working in Forex TV, she later joined a popular business news network, Bloomberg and became a full employee at the network working as a production assistant in 2008.
It was her drive and passion for the foreign exchange markets that served as the key to her meteoric rise in the profession. It was 2008 and the world was in the middle of a financial crisis and the company needed anyone with a sound understanding of the workings of the ‘crazy markets’ and there was the big break Sara needed in her career as she was given an opportunity on Bloomberg Radio and then to TV to report on foreign exchange.
Sara, while working with Bloomberg, her responsibility included checking several boxes for the company’s radio and TV programmes, including their website, Bloomberg.com. She was a regular voice on the programme “On The Economy” for Bloomberg Radio and hosted while also working as a correspondent and co-host for the morning TV show, “Bloomberg Surveillance” with Tom Keene.
