Bailey attended the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication, at Washington State University (Go Cougs!).while at Edward he won multiple awards for his on-air coverage both in television and radio.
He got his start as a reporter for Pro 8 News. This was while also co-anchoring the CW’s First News at Nine. During that time he was responsible for news, weather, and sports on the CW. This was while also reporting the news at 5, 6, and 10 for KGNS.
After a year he would transition away from the CW and to the weekend sports desk. He continued to report for KGNS. In September of 2011, Ryan made the full transition to Sports Director. Bailey worked daily to bring the Laredo area the best in local and regional sports coverage.
Bailey grew up yearning to be a professional athlete but realized, at a young age that probably wasn’t going to happen. He also realized he could still be around sports by being on TV.
