Ron Corning is an American television host born in 1971. He hosts at the ABC affiliate WFAA in Dallas, Texas. Corning co-anchors the station’s morning newscast, Daybreak, and is solo anchor of Midday, the station’s one-hour noon newscast.

In August 13, 2017, WFAA “Daybreak” anchor Ron Corning suffered a fractured left kneecap in a fall in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He said on his Facebook page “I wiped out on a slippery concrete deck and came down squarely on my left knee.” He was there on a house tour.
Acquaintances called 911 and Corning was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe. He was in surgery for three hours and he has a full-length straight-leg cast that he must wear for six weeks.
