Meade is an American journalist currently working as an anchor for CNN’s HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade.” In addition, she is a New York Times best-selling author & a singer-songwriter with 2 albums to her name.

Robin has been the longest-running anchor of a national morning TV news show, broadcasting from the CNN Center in Atlanta since 2001. Among her famous tasks is live-streaming President George HW Bush jumping out of a perfectly excellent plane, covering President Obama’s (2013) and Trump’s (2017) inaugurations, and hosting “Ask Oprah’s All-Stars” at the mogul’s request to help launch the OWN network (2011).

Robin has hosted the Daytime Emmys (2013), CMT’s “Disaster Relief Telethon,” and Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s “Accent Health.” Her daily “Salute To Troops” section has featured military family and friends sending shoutouts and acknowledgment to their loved ones serving around the world for more than a decade (and counting).

Her New York Times best-selling book, Panic Attacks: A Memoir, recounted her battle with terrible panic attacks. The bestseller “Morning Sunshine! How to Radiate Confidence and Feel It Too” was republished in paperback (2011).

Robin anchored and reported for WMAQ in Chicago, WSVN in Miami, WCMH in Columbus, WJW in Cleveland, and WMFD in Mansfield before joining CNN Headline News (now HLN). The Ohio native earned degrees in Political Science and Radio/TV Production Performance & Programming from Ashland University. She received the Young Alumnus Award (2005), was inducted into the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame (2005), and was the recipient of the renowned Gracie Award for Outstanding Anchor (2010), which had previously been granted to Katie Couric.

Robin has performed the anthem in front of millions at Nascar races in Sonoma (2010), Daytona (2012), Talladega, Charlotte (2013), and Atlanta (2016), as well as the NFL’s Atlanta vs. New England game (2013) and Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United (2017).
