Allegre is a Mexican journalist from Torreón currently working as a broadcaster for Especialistas del Deporte since April of 2021. In addition, he works as an entrepreneur for his own company, Allegre Enterprises, LLC since May of 1994.

Previously, he worked as a football analyst for ESPN from October of 2002 to November of 2021.

Allegre worked alongside play-by-play commentator Álvaro Martín and sideline reporter John Sutcliffe. In addition, he has been a 9-year NFL veteran and two-time Super Bowl winner with the New York Giants (1986 and 1990). Additionally, he joined the station in 2002 as an analyst for ESPN International’s coverage of Sunday Night Football.

During his career with NFL, he played for Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, the Baltimore Colts, and the New York Jets. 

Raúl attended the University of Montana on a football scholarship, before later transferring to the University of Texas. His career with NFL began in 1983 with the Baltimore Colts. Later he won two Super Bowls as a member of the New York Giants.

Later after his retirement from the NFL in 1993, Allegre became the creator, host, and executive producer of Super Show Deportivo, a 30-minute NFL show in Spanish produced by NFL Films. Over the next few years, he worked as a radio commentator for Texas Longhorns Football. In addition, in 1996 he became the executive producer of the Dallas Cowboys’ Spanish-language preseason television broadcasts until 2004.

Throughout his career, he has made community involvement a preference. Currently, he serves as president of the NFL Alumni in Austin, where he oversees the local effort for the “Caring for Kids” national charity program.
