Peter Greenberg born Peter S. Greenberg is an American journalist. He is the CBS News Travel Editor, its replacement CBS This Morning, reporting regularly on The Early Show and the CBS Evening News. He was a correspondent for Newsweek, among other publications.

He has published several books, produces travel segments for America Online, and is a contributing editor for Men’s Health; produces a radio show and an online travel site. He also produces television specials, and serves as the Travel Ambassador for AARP, offering travel advice to members.
He was previously the Travel Channel’s chief correspondent. He is the host and the producer of a television series called The Royal Tour which aired originally on the Travel Channel. It featured various heads of state giving him and viewers a personal tour of their country.
It has featured a number of world leaders including New Zealand’s Helen Clark, Abdullah II of Jordan, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and Peru’s Alejandro Toledo. The series now airs on PBS, and was re-launched in 2010 with Mexico. He also produced and hosted The Travel Detective TV series that appeared for 2013 and 2015 seasons on PBS. Some PBS stations currently rerun episodes from those seasons.
