Solkowski is an Award winning American journalist that brings over 20 years of experience in the Vancouver market. He signed on with Sportsnet 650 in 2017. Joining veteran host James Cybulski, Solkowski currently anchors Startling Lineup, the all-sports radio station’s morning drive show.

The Edmonton native came to Vancouver as the original host of Vancouver Canucks hockey on Sportsnet in 1998. He then worked as the sports director and anchor for the Vancouver bureaus for TSN and CTV. During his tenure with the broadcaster, Solkowski covered multiple Olympics, Stanley Cups, and Grey Cups.

In recognition for his extensive career in broadcast, Perry was the recipient of the BC sports KidSport Hero Award. The Port Moody resident has been recognized by his hometown for his contributions to amateur sports, and has acted as an ambassador of KidSport for over 20 years.
