She attended Marple Newton Senior High where she graduated proudly in 2001 and later on, she went ahead to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Science degree in speech communications from the Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2005. In 2004 and 2005, she has crowned Miss Central Pennsylvania. Prior to also being crowned again in 2005, as Miss Allegheny Valley while she was junior and senior in college.
Furthermore, while she was a junior and senior in college in the nationally televised Miss America pagean and made it to the top ten final contestants, to eventual winner Jennifer Berry of Oklahoma. While she was in college, she was president of the National Broadcasting Society.
