MS Pat born Patricia William is an American stand up comedian and author currently based in Indianapolis. She is a finalist for the 2018 Southern Book Prize for Biography and History courtesy of her Biography titled Rabbit.

Additionally, her biography was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literature. She was featured on the Star (2016), Disconnection Notice and has made an appearance on Katt Williams DVD “Kattpacalypse”. She was a guest on Joe Rogan’s Show in June 2019.
Patricia noticed her gift of telling jokes when she would make people laugh when she would go to pick up their families food stamps. She first started telling the comedy stories to welfare office for food stamps and Section 8 housing assistance. She started gaining traction from her local neighborhood and due to her prowess, she would slowly climb up the ranks to even bigger and better audiences.
Williams started in comedy because she had no idea what else to do. She had tried going legit, earning a GED and certificate to work as a medical assistant. But her prison record kept getting in the way. “Ms. Pat” made her debut at an open mic night in Atlanta in 2002. She was 30.

The comedian had a rough childhood and spent her childhood in tough conditions. MS Pat was born to the single mother in a tough West end neighborhood of Atlanta. She was raised with four other siblings. She made a living by selling drugs in her neighborhood as she knew that she had to fight to survive in the tough world. She became a drug dealer in her teens known by the street name “Rabbit”.

Ms Pat faced the journey from the prison to being a successful comedian. For Williams, 25 years removed from Fulton County Jail, comedy isn’t just therapy. It’s been her salvation. Her record left her unable to hold a job managing a gas station. Fortunately Comedy clubs did not require criminal background checks.

The author is currently married to Garrett, a machinist and the couple have sired two children of their own, Garrianna, 19, and Garrett Jr., 17. Additionally, they have taken full custody of her niece’s four kids, who range from 3 to 8. she was initially married to a man he refers to as Derrick but the couple would call it quits in 1993. Patricia currently resides with her husband and three children in Indianapolis.

In a stand up comedy, Ms Pat describes her children, dividing them into two sets. The younger ones are her “Blue Cross/Blue Shield kids,” whom she had with her husband, Garrett. The older ones came when she was single, poor and not even in high school. They’re her “Medicaid kids,” whom she likes more, “because they understand the struggle.”

In 2017, Ms Pat premiered her autobiography titled ”Rabbit: An Autobiography by Ms. Pat” published by the Dey Street Books. In his book, he details how he was sexually abused by a neighborhood man. He told her to keep it to themselves or they’d be beaten. So Williams did — until putting it in her memoir. Additionally, she sheds her light on her relationship and family.
