Corowa co-hosts ABC News 24’s Weekend Breakfast program. She is a broadcaster, reporter, presenter, and producer. Miriam has worked in the media since 2000. Corowa studied history, philosophy, and politics at the Australian National University and the University of Sydney, and graduated in 1998. She began her career as a production assistant for Indigenous Current Affairs Magazine (the predecessor show to Living Black) on SBS.

Later, she shifted into the newsroom at SBS World News, where she wrote weekend weather reports for veteran presenter Lee Lin Chin, and after completing a cadetship in 2003, became a TV reporter herself. In addition, she she has worked at both SBS and the ABC across programs such as World News Australia and Message Stick. Among the many highlights of her career are her roles co-hosting the ABC’s The Apology live broadcast in February 2008, hosting the ABC’s Gallipoli Dawn Service broadcasts from 2009 to 2011. Miriam lives in Sydney. She was born in Adelaide but calls the New South Wales Tweed Valley home.
