Bell became a member of the ‘Michigan State Spartans.’ In his freshman season, Bell appeared in 13 games for his team. He scored 107 carries and 8 touchdowns, which was an exceptional performance. He ended the debut season with 844 all-purpose yards. Several sports journals appreciated this performance, and he became a state hero in Michigan.
After a highly successful term in college football, Bell was expected to be selected in the second or third rounds of the selections. In November 2015, he suffered an injury. He had injured his medial collateral ligament (MCL), and his name was lifted from the rest of the games in the season. He underwent successful surgery and returned on the field in the 2016 off-season.
Toward the beginning of the 2016 season, he has suspended again for substance abuse. He returned to the field in October. In a December game against the ‘Buffalo Bills,’ he set a new record of 38 carries and scored 3 touchdowns.
By the end of the season, he was ranked at number nine on the list of the ‘NFL Top 100 Players of 2017.’ In the sixth week of the regular season, he was named the ‘AFC Offensive Player of the Week.’ He ended the season with a league-high of 321 carries and 9 rushing touchdowns, along with 2 receiving touchdowns.
