Trevelyan is a British journalist from Islington, London currently working as a political correspondent for BBC Television and Radio News since June of 1999.
She previously worked as a correspondent for BBC Radio 4’s Today program from 1998 to 1999, covering issues such as the Good Friday Agreement and President Bill Clinton’s impeachment.
In 1991, she began her career working as a general reporter for London Newspaper Group publications such as the Hammersmith Chronicle.
In 1992, she went to Channel 4 to work as a researcher on A Week In Politics.
Laura began her career at the BBC as a researcher for Breakfast News in 1993.
She then went on to work as an Assistant Producer for Newsnight between 1993 and 1994.
In 1994, she became a correspondent for the BBC’s On the Record, where she covered key events such as the Northern Ireland peace process following the IRA ceasefire.
She covered the Conservative campaign for the General Election in June 2001 across all BBC Television and Radio News stations in her current job as a political correspondent.
Laura attended Parliament Hill Girls School in London. In addition, he is a proud graduate of Bristol University where he graduated with a first-class degree in politics in 1990 and a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the University of Wales College in Cardiff in 1991.
