Edwards is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist currently serving as an anchor at NBC 10 Boston and NECN. She joined the NBC 10 and NECN fraternity in 2005 as a morning anchor. Before that, she was working for WWLP-22 in Springfield, Massachusetts, as a weekday anchor. Edwards is originally from Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood and a graduate magna cum laude from Emerson College with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her career as a news writer for WBZ 1030-AM radio, and later reported for the Fox affiliate WICZ-TV 40 in Binghamton, New York.
Edwards first anchored television for MediaOne cable news network, while also reporting as the morning drive news anchor for WILD 1090AM. She has also instructed courses for the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. She has been crowned Miss Massachusetts in the USA pageant in 2002. Latoyia greatly enjoys volunteering with youth groups.
