Kim Coates Biography
Kim Coates is a Canadian-American actor who has worked in both Canadian and American films and television series. He has worked on Broadway portraying Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire and in the lead role of Macbeth performed at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Kim is best known for his role as Alexander “Tig” Trager in the FX series Sons of Anarchy and as Declan Gardiner in the Citytv series Bad Blood.
He first saw a play while attending the University of Saskatchewan, where he enrolled in a drama course as an elective. This experience inspired him to pursue an acting career. Coates portrayed Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire and was the youngest ever to play the title role of Macbeth at the Stratford Festival in his native Canada. Coates made his screen debut in the film The Boy in Blue (1986). This role opened up opportunities for him, and he has appeared in over 100 titles to date

After he was through with college, he performed in various stage productions in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Kim debut in Canadian biopic The Boy in Blue as McCoy Man No.2 in 1986. The following year he appeared in Last Man Standing as Mr. Regan. In an American television series, he portrayed the role of a gang member in 1987. He then appeared in Canadian comedy film Palais Royale as Tony Dicario which was released on September 10, 1988. Kim appeared also on Canadian/American science-fiction television series War of the Worlds as Scott the same year.
Kim appeared in the movies, Dead Silence as Theodore ‘Ted’ Handy for which he was nominated for Gemini Awards for best performance in a featured supporting role. He even appeared in Poltergeist: The Legacy as Steven Romero for which he was nominated for Gemini Awards for best performance Actor in a Guest Role.

Kim Coates is an actor in the series Prison Break. He is called Richard Sullins who is the head of the internal Affairs Departments in the FBI. Coates had some history with agent Mahone the FBI Agent who lead the hunt against the Fox River 8.
he had already investigated about Mahone ‘s activities, during the Oscar Shales’ hunt, and particularly about Shales mysterious disappearance. After the death of Abruzzi and the execution of inmate Tweener, Sullins became very suspicious and came from Quantico to the FBI field offices in Chicago.
He interrogates Mahone and quickly found that Mahone had executed both Abruzzi and Tweener. But he can’t manage to push his investigation far, he received a call from his superiors to make him back in Quantico.
Sullins contact an FBI agent working with Mahone on the inmate’s case: Special Agent Wheeler and ask him to report all the moves of Mahone.
Both of Wheeler and Sullins found that inmate Benjamin Miles Franklin has been threatened by Mahone to kill his family if he will not commit suicide in his cell, then they tried to negotiate with Franklin to testify against Mahone in front of a judge and propose him to be exonerated and make him enter into the Witness Protection Program. After that Sullins make the FBI hunting for Mahone.
