Hogan is an American journalist from New Haven working with WFSB as a morning anchor and reporter in New York.
Kevin is a native of the Nutmeg State. Raised in Ansonia, Kevin is a graduate of Kolbe High School in Bridgeport.
He was called to be a journalist in 1959 during a visit to the live studio of “Beat the Clock” in New York. This is the time TV game show host Bud Collyer interviewed Kevin in the audience about his missing front teeth and was the first story he told on TV.
His career as a journalist began at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury on the campus radio station, WXCI-FM. He also interned at WNEW-TV in New York City and “The Ten O’Clock News with Bill Jorgensen.
The year 1979 saw him, anchor, in the mornings in New Haven on WELI-AM with veteran broadcaster Ron Rohmer. Later in 1980, he became news director at WAVZ and WKCI (KC101) where he won several broadcast awards.
In 1997, he took a role at Channel 3 as the special correspondent to cover Pope John Paul II’s historic trip to Cuba. Later when he returned, he joined the Eyewitness News team where he became a permanent member.
According to him, his career gave him an opportunity to meet people and report on stories that help communities. Away from work, he enjoys family time along with his painstakingly restored 1959 MGA Roadster.
