Kendall Kirkham is an American journalist currently serving as host of “Great Day Live for WTSP. She joined the WTSP news team in November 2017. She is thrilled to join the “Great Day Live” team and is having a good time highlighting the positive things going on in this thriving community. Recently, she worked for WMC Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee, where she served as morning co-anchor. Kendall has interviewed countless celebrities and notable figures, from Bob Woodward to Arsenio Hall, Jane Seymour, and Paula Deen.
Kirkham has taken her career to another level and hit 9 Gs with the U.S. Airforce Thunderbirds, raised money for various charities by dancing in three local “Dancing with the Stars” competitions, and even played a gangster on stage for a traveling Broadway show. She is a versatile media personality who has worked for several networks like KOKI, KETK, NBC 7, FOX51News, the Dallas Morning News, El Entertainment Television, and many others. Kendall hopes to bring a smile to viewers at home every single day.
She has been nominated for an Emmy for her women’s instructional self-defense series, “One Last Move.” while in Memphis. Kendall is most proud of her work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, telling stories of the courageous patients, their families, and the miracle workers who work tirelessly toward finding a cure for childhood cancer. She is originally from Fort Worth and a graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. During her free time, Kirkham enjoys exploring the countless sights, sounds, and eats of Tampa Bay with her husband Jason and son Knox.
