Kathleen Petty is a Canadian journalist currently working as an Executive Producer, and host for CBC Calgary, Canada since November 2013. She is one of the founding producers and hosts of the CBC News Network. For nearly 20 years, she was working for the news channel prior to hosting The House on CBC Radio in Ottawa along with hosting the local morning show in the nation’s capital.

In 1989, CBC Newsworld was launched and she became the anchor where she worked till 2006. Petty has been a regular contributor to CBC’s federal election coverage and has also appeared on Power and Politics. She also writes an analysis on political issues.

Petty is a proud graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology where she obtained an honors in Broadcast Journalism in the year 1986.
