Karen Hepp Biography
Karen Hepp is an American anchor and reporter. She joined the FOX 29 News team in November, 2010. Currently ,she is a co-anchor of the 4 to 6am hours of “Good Day Philadelphia,” and joins the set as co-host for the final hour of the show from 9 to 10am.
Prior to joining FOX 29, Karen worked at WNYW-TV in New York City, anchoring Good Day Wakeup. In January 2005 she had joined Fox 5 as the weekend anchor. Previously she worked for NBC-owned-and- operated stations for 8 years including: WNBC in New York; WCAU in Philadelphia; and WVIT in Connecticut. Karen’s career began in Binghamton, New York and Rochester, New York.

Karen attended Agnes Irwin School An all girls college preparatory day school in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She took AP Physics, AP Chemistry and AP Biology before graduating in 1989. After High school she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism at New York University in Manhattan New York. She graduated with the class of 1993.

On June 4th 2005 Karen married her husband Brian Sullivan at the St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Karen resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband and 3 young sons: Macklin – named for Jeremy Maclin, the former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver; Quinn, named for former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn: and Kellen, named for former NFL player Kellen Winslow. She and her husband love sports… especially in Philly. She also enjoys running, hiking, and sitting on the sidelines of soccer fields.

His first job after college was as an anchor for WMGC-TV, a company in Birmingham, New York from 1994 to 1995. From 1995 to 1996 she then worked as a reporter for WROC-8 in Rochester, New York. She moved to Hartford, Connecticut to work for the same company where she worked from 1996 to 1997. Karen moved to be a reporter at NBC-owned company, WVIT-TV in New Britain, Connecticut in 1997 she stayed there until 2002. From 2002 to 2003 she was an anchor at WNBC in Manhattan, New York. In 2004 she became an anchor at WNBC-TV in Manhattan, New York where he left in 2005. Karen worked as an anchor at Fox owned WNYW-TV in Manhattan, New York from January 2004 to February 2009. Karen became the anchor of “Good Day New York” in January 2005. In November 2010, she then moved back to Philadephia, Pennsylvania where she still lives and works as a “Good Day Philadelphia” anchor for WTXF-TV.
