Julian Teekaram is a retired American journalist who was serving as the Morning Anchor for Fort Wayne’s NBC Today before exiting office. She attended Concordia High School and then went on to graduate cum laude from Ball State University with a degree in telecommunications and journalism. While there, she served as a reporter and anchor for Newslink Indiana, Ball State’s Emmy award-winning nightly newscast. Before graduating in 2012, she secured her first job at WLIO-TV in Lima, Ohio. Julian began her career as a reporter, and was with no time promoted to the weekend anchor position. She finished her career there as the station’s morning anchor. Through her career, she won an award from the Society of Professional Journalists for her story about students misusing the drug Adderall to help them study. She is back home and eager to hear about the stories that matter to you.

Julian got married in September 2015 to her wonderful husband Erik, and enjoys spending time with him and their adorable Shih Tzu, Ozzy. Family is a priority, as are good movies and yummy restaurants. If you’re a foodie, make sure and let Julian know about your “go to” place to eat.
