Mitchell is an American journalist currently serving as a Weekend sports anchor/reporter. He joined KTTC News team in December 2020. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Chaminade College Prep. After high school, Mitchell followed in his dad’s footsteps and attended Michigan State University where he majored in Journalism and minored in Sports Reporting.

During his time as a Spartan, Julian worked at the award-winning student radio station Impact 89 FM. He co-hosted the station’s two-hour live sports show, The Green and White Report, and worked as the men’s basketball beat reporter. Julian was lucky enough to have his first taste of Minnesota be at the Final Four in Minneapolis, where he broadcasted Michigan State’s run. Julian is a sports fanatic and if it wasn’t for his height, he’d be in the NBA working on a hall of fame career by now. Instead, he’s here happy to call Rochester home and tell the sports stories of the area.
