Jocelyne Pruna Biography
Jocelyne Pruna is an American Journalist who was born in Miami, Florida. Her family is from Costa Rica and Cuba. She returns to CBS58 as a reporter and anchor to Telemundo Wisconsin. Jocelyne had taken a few months off and started her own business. She had previously been the Telemundo Wisconsin co-anchor and reporter for CBS58 for a little more than 2 years. Pruna is a bilingual reporter and began working for CBS58 News in February 2015.

Before moving to Milwaukee, Pruna was an anchor and reporter for KFSM (CBS affiliate) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She started her career at that station in 2011. Jocelyne also previously reported for a Spanish newspaper, Univision Arkansas and radio in both languages. She has 12 years’ experience as a journalist.

Telemundo Wisconsin, WYTU, is expanding its commitment to local news coverage with the addition of an 11 a.m. Monday through Friday newscast.
Noticiero Telemundo Wisconsin at 11 a.m. premieres June 4 and will be anchored by Jocelyne Pruna. Pruna previously co-anchored the Telemundo Wisconsin 10 p.m. newscast and is an anchor/reporter for Telemundo Wisconsin and sister station CBS 58.
“We are excited to expand our news programming to better serve the local Spanish speaking community,” Telemundo Wisconsin News Director Kent Harrell said. “It’s our commitment to keeping our viewers informed and engaged throughout the day.”
The 11 a.m. newscast will be followed at 11:30 a.m. with the Telemundo network newscast Noticias Telemundo Mediodia.
“It’s an honor to be part of the growing Telemundo Wisconsin team,” Telemundo Wisconsin 11 a.m. news anchor Jocelyn Pruna said. “I’m very excited to help with the launch of the newscast and look forward to bringing you the news that’s relevant to our community.”
Telemundo Wisconsin currently produces the weeknight 10 p.m. newscast Noticiero Telemundo. The station also broadcasts several Milwaukee Brewers games and Green Bay Packer’s preseason matchups.
Telemundo Wisconsin is now being broadcast statewide on Dish Network channel 17, as well as Spectrum-Charter channel 206. Telemundo Wisconsin is broadcast locally on Spectrum-Time Warner channel 1027, AT&T U-Verse channel 27 and over the air channel 63.1.

Hundreds of EMTs and paramedics from fire departments and ambulance services from across the state are in Milwaukee for the Wisconsin EMS Association Conference.
They are learning about the best way to respond to car accidents, medical emergencies, and even opioid overdoses.

Since 2008, Stars and Stripes Honor Flight have flown 4,907 veterans from Southeastern Wisconsin to Washington D.C. to see their memorials.
When it began the goal was to fly WWII veterans. As time passed the Korean War Veterans were added to the honor flight. However, starting May 1st they’ll accept applications for Vietnam veterans.
Michael Orban was drafted when he was 19 years old. He plans to sign up for this opportunity.
“I think it’s going a very welcoming public, who is going to support this and come out to Mitchell Field and give you the love and honor you wanted,,” Orban said.
“Whenever you’re in the company of other veterans, other war veterans you just feel more comfortable,,” he said.
Vietnam service dates must be February 28TH, 1961- May 7TH, 1975. They’ll still give priority to WW2 and Korean War veterans.
There are three fall dates September 16th, October 14th, and November 4th.
Stars and Stripes Honor Flight pays for all the expenses. Their guardian needs to fill out an application as well.

- One generation removed from the veteran and not the veteran’s spouse or significant other
- Fee for a guardian is $500
