Hiscox is a Canadian journalist from Owen Sound, Ontario currently working as the host of MORNING LIVE for CBC NetWork.

Hiscox has taken viewers to the Humboldt bus tragedy in Saskatchewan in 2018, the Quebec City mosque shooting, the terror attacks in Ottawa and Paris, the RCMP shootings in Moncton, New Brunswick, and many other big news events, drawing on her prior considerable experience as a network reporter. She has covered both Prince William and Prince Harry’s royal weddings, as well as Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. In addition, she has led the CBC in the coverage of eight consecutive Olympic Games.

Following three previous nominations, she won the Canadian Screen Award for Best National News Anchor in 2018. She is also a three-time Gemini nominee for Best Host and Best News Anchor.

Hiscox was out in the field before she moved inside the morning studio. She worked as a reporter for three years in Toronto for the  CBC News: The National and also traveled internationally for the program, covering foreign stories. Hiscox has also spent a lot of time in the CBC’s Washington and London, England bureaus.

She is a proud graduate of the University of Toronto where she graduated in 1986 with a B.A. Degree in French language and literature. Later, she joined the University of Western Ontario in 1987 where she later graduated with a master’s degree in journalism
