Grant took over as host of the CBC Radio 3 Podcast in 2005, the network’s first-ever original podcast. Thousands of independent Canadian musicians and bands were showcased over the course of twelve years. Grant is still the host of CBC Radio 3 on SiriusXM channel 136.

Grant drove a Volkswagen Beetle across Canada for CBC Music’s Beetle Roadtrip Sessions in the summers of 2013 and 2014, visiting and recording musicians in their hometowns. The show was filmed, produced, and directed by Brent Hodge. In 2014, The Beetle Roadtrip Sessions received a Canadian Screen Award.
