Gloria Campos is an American retired WFAA-TV news anchor who currently serves on the Advisory Board of the College of Fine Arts and Communication, is an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Texas PTA and in the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Hall of Fame.
Gloria Campos Biography
She retired from the TV in March 2014 and started as an intern and scholarship recipient with KGBT-TV in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas in 1974. She becomes a full-time worker after graduating from SW Texas State University, which is now, Texas State University in 1976.
She worked in a variety of positions before joining WFAA-TV in Dallas in 1984, as a General Assignments Reporter. She becomes the full time 5, 6 & 10 pm anchor and the producer of the station’s weekly Wednesday’s Child reports for 20 years. Campos’ extensive community involvement includes the (DFW) Network of Hispanic Communicators, the Dallas Summit, and National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
