DeVaughn Nixon was born in Los Angeles in in the year 1983, where lived and grew in his childhood. He is the son of former basketball player Norman Nixon. His stepmother Debbie Allen, is an actress, producer, director, dancer and half siblings namely Vivian Nichole Nixon who is a dancer, and basketball player Norman Ellard Nixon Jr. Most importantly, his parents taught him how to appreciate education, hard work and independence.
Rather, when he was young he worked in many roles in acting, putting voice to one of the actors of the animated film Bébé’s Kids. Later, he played a role in the romantic film The Bodyguard, along with other roles in other films and TV series.
However, he temporarily left his acting career devoting himself to his studies. He graduated in television production and also business finance from Loyola Marymount University.
