Hudson is an American journalist from Los Angeles, California currently working as a senior vice president and managing director of CNN en Español and Hispanic strategy for CNN/U.S.

She is in charge of the CNN en Espaol 24/7 television news networks, CnnEspaol.com, and CNN en Espaol Radio, as well as all areas of CNN’s Spanish-language media enterprises, including newsgathering, editorial content, programming, production, operations, and people.

Hudson launched CNN Radio Argentina in the first quarter of 2019, a radio network that is available in 120 cities and 23 provinces in Argentina. In April, she launched Proyecto Ser Humano, CNN en Espanol’s multi-platform anti-discrimination campaign (The Humanity Project). The initiative tells the tales of people who have been discriminated against and those who are fighting for more inclusion.

Hudson collaborated on The Proyecto Ser Humano’s official theme song alongside Emilio Estefan, music, television, and film producer, and Grammy winner Gian Marco.
Hudson was also awarded the “Human Merit Award for a Cause of Peace” by Peru’s Ricardo Palma University in 2019 for her anti-discrimination initiative, Proyecto Ser Humano. She received the PRODU Golden Awards the same year in appreciation of her efforts to strengthen Spanish-language content in the television industry.

Hudson extended CNN en Espanol’s TV and digital operations in Argentina and Mexico in 2018, as well as the role of Cross-platform Content across all platforms, in order to maintain the brand’s digital and social growth.

Hudson began her career as a news producer and reporter at Univision station WLTV 23, where she worked in a variety of roles ranging from reporting to production and management.

Hudson is a Director on the board of The National Epilepsy Foundation and has served as a Director and now Vice President of the University of Miami Alumni Association. Cynthia is also a member of the Hispanic Society Museum & Library of New York’s Advisory Council and the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors.
