Crystal Price Biography
Crystal Price is an American reporter for CBS 17. She previously worked for KOCO 5 News as a general assignment reporter. She was born in Oklahoma, U.S., and has had a passion for storytelling since she was young.
Price graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in broadcasting. Since her graduation, Price has worked at various television markets in Texas, Oregon, and Louisiana over her career.
Crystal has been recognized by the Louisiana Associated Press for her investigative reporting and videography skills. She has also been recognized by the Oklahoma Broadcasting Educators Association for her hard news reporting.
Some of the issues she is passionate about covering include education, severe weather, crime and Veterans Affairs health care issues.
Some of the big stories Crystal has covered in her career include the struggles of veterans gaining healthcare access at the El Paso, TX VA, the series of city councilmen arrests in Sunland Park, NM, and the impact the Deepwater Horizon oil spill had on shrimpers and oyster harvesters in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010.
When she is not chasing down stories, her hobbies include listening to classic rock, watching movies, and shopping.
Crystal is also a proud member of the Chickasaw nation. Since she was young, she would attend Chickasaw pageants, festivals, and other cultural events.
