Claudia Garofalo is an American TV host, anchor, and singer. She is well known for being the ex-traffic anchor on News 4 and Fox 29 & for hosting San Antonio Living for 5 years.
In Feb 2019, she joined the team of FOX21 in southern Colorado, co-hosting the LivingLocalCO show.Her Fellow Anchor Mates Include Zora Asberry.

Claudia was born and raised in the city of Del Rio in Texas and left her hometown to move to San Antonio after graduating high school.

Claudia is happily married to her co-anchor Mike Garofalo – The couple tied the knot in early 2013.
Mike & Claudia have one child- a girl named Anna Kate, born in December 2015. Claudia also has a young daughter named Avah from her previous marriage.
Claudia is the oldest among two children, and has a very close connection with her brother, who according to Claudia, is “still the child he was years ago”.

News 4 WOAI and Fox 29 viewers already getting used to a new morning team will notice a number of additional changes with hosts and reporters announcing within days of each other they are either joining or leaving the San Antonio station.
This week, San Antonio Living host Claudia Garofalo used an Instagram post to say she was “signing off” the show but will “soon share” what’s next in her career. Sports reporter Hannah Trippett also announced she would be leaving to move closer to her family “for personal reasons” after two years in San Antonio.
Fans of Garofalo and her husband, Michael Garofalo, who until recently hosted the morning segment, replied to her post saying they are “absolutely heartbroken.”
Zora Asberry, who last worked in Mobile, Alabama, announced her move to San Antonio to become the morning traffic anchor.
And last week, former sports anchor David Chancellor joined the morning team alongside newcomer Alexis Del Cid.
Sinclair’s San Antonio general manager Dean Radla declined to comment on the personnel changes, per company policy. He did, however, praise the first week of the Chancellor and Del Cid teaming up.
“Her pairing with David Chancellor is being received very favorably by our viewers,” he said in an email to mySA.com. “They clearly have great chemistry and are both professionals in their craft.”

After getting her degree, Claudia started working for the morning radio show Miles in the morning which aired on Y100 FM.
She left hosting radio shows to focus more on TV in 2013. She landed a job on FOX 29 as well as News 4, where she met her now-husband, Mike.
Her passion for journalism made her to a well-renowned news anchor on both of the shows and gave her an opportunity to co-host the show San Antonio Living.

Not many know that Claudia is a recognized singer, who auditioned on American Idol and had the prestige of singing the American National Anthem at a Spurs game in 2013.
In her singing career, she has performed on various occasions, including recurring performances at the Arneson River Theatre in San Antonio.
As a musician, her dream is to one-day sing alongside her favorite country singer, Tim McGraw.

Local Fox affiliate KXRM/Fox 21 added another member to its on-air news team.
Claudia Garofalo, a Texas native, is a veteran host and anchor who’s worked in broadcasting for 10 years. Most recently, she was a host of the lifestyle show “San Antonio Living” and served as a traffic anchor at NBC affiliate WOAI.
Aside from her broadcasting career, Garofalo is also a professional singer who participated in the seventh season of “American Idol.” She made it all the way to the Hollywood rounds.
Garofalo will be joining the station Friday as a new co-host for the “Living Local” program that airs 9 a.m – 10 a.m. weekdays. Garofalo joins Maria Parmigiani in the studio. Mia Atkins remains with “Living Local” as a field host.
“We are thrilled to have Claudia join our ‘Living Local’ lifestyle show on Fox 21,” news director Joe Cole said. “Her experience on this type of show is a great asset to the team and viewers will certainly notice. Look for her to also take over traffic duties on our four-hour Fox 21 weekday morning show.”
