Chris Sowers Accuweather
AccuWeather – Snow Update
The latest update has lowered the snow totals even more so than what I had this morning. The latest guidance suggests that most of the region picks up a coating to an inch while coastal areas see between 1-3″. We may have to adjust that 1-3″ zone to the west a little bit, but you get the idea here. This is a light, nuisance event.
Accumulations will be mainly on grassy surfaces, car tops, picnic tables, things like that. A few slick spots are certainly possible Monday morning, but the bulk of this is on the grass. Regardless of whether or not you’re in an area that sees a coating or you’re in an area that sees the one to three inches, it all melts by lunchtime (Monday) as temps climb back up into the 50s! Then the summer like the 70s returns by Wednesday or Thursday.
As I said earlier in the week, this is just a small hiccup in the overall warm pattern. I will have a final update on this storm tomorrow morning starting at 6:00 am. The track of this developing storm has been very erratic on the modeling over the past few days. So some adjustments may need to be made on the map depending on what the overnight information says.
This information will be updated soon.
