Long is an American journalist from Washington DC working with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Sports since March 2010 as the weekend sports anchor. He can also be heard severally on 1500ESPN Radio where he fills in as an anchor.
Long moves from playing to coaching and then to covering of sports. He loved everything about sports since he was a kid and claims that sports are a true passion. He also says that it is a thrill sharing games and stories I enjoy with viewers during sportscasts.
Most of his professional life has been spent in Minnesota, having started his career as a sports anchor at KDLH-TV in Duluth. He was most recently the sports director and anchor at WBBH in Ft. Myers, Florida. In addition, he worked and lived in San Diego, Indianapolis, and Columbia, Missouri. His first TV job was a freelance gig for ESPN’s “Outside The Lines”.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Missouri where he obtained a Bachelor of Journalism degree. There he played lacrosse and hockey and was a founding member of Mizzou’s chapter in Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity.
