Larson is an American journalist from Boone, NC working with the KRDO Storm Tracker 13 weather team in Colorado Springs as a Meteorologist.

He holds about thirty years of experience in broadcasting. Larson worked as a meteorologist and morning show host at WBTV, the CBS affiliate in Charlotte. There he worked covered everything from severe summer storms to hurricanes and winter snow and ice storms.

In college at Appalachian State University during his senior year, he interned at WBTV. Prior to this, he was Chief Meteorologist for ten years at the ABC affiliate in Reno, NV.

He has been an avid skier since the age of eight and grew up skiing at a small resort in western North Carolina.
