Catherine Parrotta is an American journalist currently working as a broadcast journalist and morning news anchor and filled-in reporter for Boston 25 since March 2012.

The reporter knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in journalism, through her time at Our Lady of the Assumption School and Pope John XXIII High School, and then attending Emerson College.
She graduated from Emerson in 2007 summa cum laude with a degree in broadcast journalism. About a month later she was hired as a morning reporter and general assignment reporter at WGME, the CBS television affiliate in Portland, Maine.
At WGME she worked for more than a year as a reporter for the two-hour-long morning newscast. Her responsibilities included covering breaking news, handling multiple live shots, conducting interviews, and producing news packages used in broadcasts.
During her five years at WGME, she covered an incredible range of stories, from the ongoing investigation of missing toddler Ayla Reynolds to security threats along the U.S. northern border. She also covered the candidates running in the 2008 presidential race as they campaigned in New Hampshire.

Parrotta joined Boston 25 News as a general assignment reporter in March 2012. After six years as a morning reporter at Boston 25 News, Catherine currently works like the traffic reporter in addition to filling on the anchor desk. She came to Boston 25 from WGME-TV in Portland, Maine where she served as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter.
