Spodak is an American journalist currently working as a Senior Producer, Digital Video Politics for CNN TV since April of 2020.

In addition, she shoots, produces, writes, and edits original news videos. The election of 2016 saw her travel the country where she was covering the country’s presidential candidates and issues affecting voters. Her career at CNN began on the New York Assignment Desk before moving to Washington, DC bureau. In addition, she has produced for all CNN’s DC-based shows and helped launch “The Lead with Jake Tapper” in 2013.

Cassie also worked as a Producer, Digital Video Politics, Producer/2016 Campaign Embed, DC Bureau, Associate Producer, “The Lead with Jake Tapper”, and Production Assistant/Associate Producer, State of the Union/Reliable Sources, and Production Assistant, Business Updates from October of 2011 to April of 2020. Additionally, she was a News Assistant for CNN from November of 2009 to October of 2010. In addition, she has also worked as an intern for the Call for NY1 News from September 2008 to December 2008.

She is a proud graduate of Barnard College in New York City where she graduated in 2009. In addition, she is a graduate of Columbia University in the City of New York where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in the year 2009. Additionally, she studied anthropology at the School for International Training in 2008.
