Caribe Devine, the much loved Phoenix-based TV anchor is still in the parenting stage where she is bridging the divide between elegant wear onscreen and diaper bags in daily life – She states that Michael Kors and Calvin Klein bags are her solutions!
Caribe Devine is a weeknight meteorologist for EVB Live, 12 News at 5 pm, Arizona Nightly News, and 12 News at 10 pm. In addition to providing weather forecasts for all the evening shows, she does live interviews and feature segments on EVB Live at 4 pm.
Caribe began her career at 12 News in 2005 as a weekend weather anchor and live shot feature reporter, before moving to weeknights in 2011.
Caribe was born in Longview, Texas but considers El Paso, Texas her home town. While in high school Caribe was a news anchor for the Andress High School student news broadcast but decided on a different path in college. She graduated from the University of Texas El Paso with a degree in Elementary Education.
Soon after college, fate brought Caribe back into news broadcasting and she landed her first job as a weathercaster at KFOX-TV in El Paso, Texas. She also worked as weekend weather anchor at KTSM-TV in El Paso before coming to 12 News.
Caribe holds a certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and is a member of the National Weather Association and the National Association of Black Journalists.
Caribe considers the highlight of her job as a meteorologist to be The Arizona Monsoon Season, which occurs during the summer months.
From record-breaking heat to massive dust storms, and violent and torrential thunderstorms, Caribe’s main goal is to give the public what they need to know to stay safe.
Caribe is married to Renard Johnson and has two daughters.; Nevaeh was born in October 2009 and Aviva born in December 2013.

Caribe also reminds herself not to wear green or she will disappear in front of the weather graphics on the chroma key wall.
Devine has artfully balanced simplicity and refinement, even off-screen, and says black-and-white are her go-to colors.
She states it’s worth investing in a good quality handbag and has several Louis Vuitton bags.

Devine married Renard Johnson, a technology company founder of the company METI.
Renard’s work in small business government contracting and professional services have contracts with agricultural, cybersecurity, technology services, and has multiple unrelated national and international projects that require constant travel for this Chicago native.
He comes from a business-minded family, with his parents owning a contract company when he was growing up. The company has now become international, with offices in Lima, Peru, and Freetown, Sierra Leon and a presence in fifty other countries.
The couple has two daughters, Nevaeh (8) and Aviva (4) (ages as of 2018).
