Bryan Norcross Biography
Norcross holds a bachelor’s degree in Science. He has earned his master’s degree in communications and Meteorology from Florida State University. He has also earned an honors doctorate in Public Service degree from Florida International University.
Mr. Norcross began his broadcasting work with WFSU–FM, and WTAL –AM while still in university in Tallahassee. During his days in Melbourne, Florida, WTAI, an AM station appointed him as a disc jockey that was his first actual broadcasting experience.
He also accepted a position as an engineer at WFSU–TV in Tallahassee, Florida around this moment. And much to his pleasure, he discovered a chance to work as a technical manager and maintenance engineer at WXIA –TV in Atlanta after graduating in 1972.
As for his contribution to networking development, he was then appointed as an acting production manager in 1974. Subsequently, he was allocated an obligation as a manager for the evening newscasts of the station at KUSA – TV later in 1975 at KBTV.
Norcross also did well to elevate the market ranking of the news program. His news show of 10:00 pm became the highest rated on the market in 1976. The city was hit by a snowstorm. Bryan dealing with danger without flinching was the only person to arrive at the television station. The two engineers helped out while broadcasting coverage of the storm. Nightlong, Bryan aired the violent storm and it was the sole broadcast of the storm.
Once he collected his Master’s Degree in 1980, by then Mr. Bryan Norcross became the CNN weather correspondent in June of that year. Subsequently, he made a move to San Francisco to work with KGO – TV where he was appointed as a weekend weather anchor and used to do science reports during the workweek.

He has written a book entitled ‘Hurricane Almanac 2006 – The Essential Guide to Storms Past, Present, and Future’.
