Brooke attended The Westminster Schools, which is a private college preparatory school, and later joined the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduating with a double bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish in 2010. While at UNC she studied at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

In 2001 Brooke joined WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia. She later became the morning anchor at WOWK-TV in Huntington and the West Virginia area.

Brooke joined WTTG in Washington, D.C as a lead reporter for the 10 pm newscast. In 2010 she signed a contract with CNN and HLN Network where she worked as a contributor on Rick’s List, hosted by Rick Sanchez. She was fired from the show in 2010 for making anti-Semitic remarks.

In the same year on October 18, Baldwin criticized Donald Trump‘s call for term limits on members of Congress by incorrectly saying that such limits already existed.

Baldwin allowed Kaiser to finish his statement and as soon as he finished Brooke reprimanded him.

‘Charles, just, hang on a second, I appreciate you going through all of this, but please don’t use the N-word on my show.’ Kaiser on his part apologized and said he never used the word except when quoting.

‘I’m sorry, I never use the n-word, except when I’m quoting someone who’s been appointed by the president to serve in the Oval Office since this is such a disgusting moment in our history.’
