Brian Ross Biography
Brian Ross born Brian Elliot Ross on October 23, 1948 is an American investigative journalist who served as the Chief Investigative Correspondent for ABC News until 2018. He reported with David Muir, for ABC World News Tonight Nightline, Good Morning America, 20/20, and ABC News Radio. In July 1994 Ross joined ABC News and left in 2018. Most of his investigative reports have often covered government corruption. Before joining ABC he worked as a correspondent for NBC News from 1974 to 1994. Ross born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, graduated in 1971 from the University of Iowa journalism school.

Ross worked for KWWL-TV in Waterloo, Iowa, immediately after graduating. He later moved on and started working for WCKT-TV in Miami, Florida and WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio before becoming a national correspondent for NBC News from 1975 to 1994.
While reporting for WKYC-TV in Cleveland,in the mid-1970s, Ross reported on Jackie Presser and corruption in the Teamsters union and interviewed mobster Danny Greene. After being hired by NBC News, he continued to report on the Teamsters, a reporting that won him a Sigma Delta Chi Award in 1976 and a National Headliner award in 1977.
