Babs Santos, full name Babatunde Santos, is a journalist from Minnesota currently working as a reporter for FOX 9 since February 2021.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a four year degree, in just two years, after taking college classes full-time during high school.

Babs Santos Biography

Santos was born and raised in the south-metro area in Minnesota. He started taking college classes at Normandale community college during high school. This helped him graduate from University in just two years instead of four.

During college, he was also working in New York City, as a news fellow for CBS News. Also in Minneapolis, as a web producer for WCCO-TV, a reporter for the Minnesota Daily newspaper, and as a news intern for KARE-11.

Babs decided to cross the state-lines not long after finishing his bachelor’s degree.

Babs was in the limited-seating courtroom when the guilty verdict was read in the trial of Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor for the shooting death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond. He helped cover President Donald Trump’s first visit to the state of Minnesota after his inauguration. He’s also been on scene of many breaking news events, including in the summer of 2019, when a helicopter crashed into a skyscraper just blocks away from Time Square.

He joined FOX 11 in June 2020 till January 20201, as a General Assignments reporter. This was during unprecedented times in our nation, as the country dealt with nationwide George Floyd protests and the coronavirus pandemic.
