Wilson is an American journalist working as the Anderson Bureau reporter . The Lenoir-Rhyne University graduate also worked with ESPN in college and has been featured in two independent films. She spent two years as a multi-media journalist for Southwest Georgia’s #1 station—WALB News 10. In addition, she served as the station’s crime, court, and investigations reporter. She covered dozens of cases, and some of those gained national attention from major networks and publications across the country. Also, she was the first to report about a proposed HBCU bill that was a big talker in Georgia’s senate. Asia covered President Trump’s arrival to South Georgia after Hurricane Michael ripped through that area in 2018.
Before reporting in GA, Asia was an award-winning media relations professional and was named as one of Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s Top 30 Successful Professionals Under 30 Years Old and a Woman of Influence. She served as a communications specialist for a government nonprofit, where her work was featured in local magazines and on the desk of North Carolina’s governor.
She was a news contributor for WCCB Charlotte and an independent contractor for many college and professional sports teams.
