Zilka is an American journalist working as a reporter at KSTP 5 Eyewitness News. She joined KSTP 5 Eyewitness News team in September 2018. Ashley graduated with honors from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh where she studied Broadcast Journalism. During the summer, she also worked as a reporter for a news magazine in Rome, Italy. She came to the Twin Cities from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she worked as a reporter for WCPO-TV. Previously, Ashley worked at WROC-TV in Rochester, New York. She began her career at WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio.
Ashley’s most memorable national stories include her live report at the arrival of Otto Warmbier into the United States. She is excited to be in the Twin Cities and calls downtown Minneapolis home. When not covering the news, Ashley enjoys trying new restaurants, going to Broadway shows, and traveling.
