Alisyn Camerota is an American journalist and anchor of CNN’s morning show New Day. In her three decades in journalism, Alisyn has covered stories nationally and internationally, earning her two Emmy Award nominations.

Alisyn has been at the forefront of several pressing news events, including the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, the Paris and Brussels terror attacks, and the Parkland school shooting, interviewing the Parkland student survivors hours after the massacre. As well as representatives of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
She has also held dozens of panels with Donald Trump supporters and is a frequent critic of Trump. She has also covered the Me Too movement.
Outside her New Day anchoring role, Alisyn has anchored a number of primetime specials, including Tipping Point: Sexual Harassment in America and The Hunting Ground: Sexual Assault on Campus.
She is an outspoken proponent of First Amendment rights. Before joining CNN, Alisyn worked for many years at Fox News, most notably as part of the Fox & Friends franchise and as co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend.

Alisyn joined CNN in 2014 after CNN and CNN International announced on July 14, 2014, that she would be joining the CNN news team to serve as a TV anchor.
