Alex Paxton-Beesley is a Canadian actress best known for her role in shows like “Alphas” (Syfy, 2010-12), “Haven” (Syfy, 2009-2015), and “Rookie Blue” (ABC, 2009-2015). She also appeared in “Warehouse 13” (Syfy, 2008-2014) among others.

She graduated from the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto in 2008. She later went on to join and graduate from the Actors’ Conservatory at the Canadian Film Centre.

Alex has been involved in several on-stage appearances, working with companies like The Company Theatre in Festen in 2008, she also performed at the Canadian Stage Company and in the Citadel Theatre on Rock ‘n’ Roll back in 2009. She was also featured in The Woman in White at the Theatre Aquarius. She returned on stage in 2017 at the Tarragon Theatre performing in Slip, a complex psychological drama, for which she received very high acclaim.

In television, her roles include guest-starring in The Listener, Minority Report, Private Eyes, and Wynonna Earp. She also got recurring roles in Warehouse 13, The Firm, The Strain, Impulse, Murdoch Mysteries, and Cardinal. She also got a role as a supporting lead in the Hallmark Hall of Fame MOW Christmas With Holly. Then a leading role in Lifetime’s Breakdown at 17 and The Perfect Soulmate. She was also a regular on BBC America’s series Copper. She just recently completed filming the second season of the drama series PURE.

Alex also features in a number of films like; The Confessor, Space & Time, Dirty Singles, Burnt Grass, Your Place or Mine, and as the lead in Phillip Barkers’ short films Dredger and Malody.
