Noakes is an American journalist from Grant Parish currently working with KALB as a part-time producer and reporter since December 2020.

Noakes assists in producing multiple newscasts and maintaining KALB’s website and social media platforms. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in Convergence Media at Louisiana College.

She attended her high school education at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) in Natchitoches, graduating in 2018. Later she decided to pursue a degree in journalism after joining the staff of The Renaissance, LSMSA’s school newspaper, where she served as editor in her senior year.

In college, she is a member of the Wildcats Media news team, where she is editor of The Wildcat, the school’s online publication, and she is a producer for Wildcats Media’s various broadcast productions. Alena mostly writes opinion/editorial and news pieces and takes photographs of on-campus sports and events but can sometimes be found anchoring.

Away from work, she loves visiting with family and friends, building her photography platform, and going to the gym.
