Rullán is an American journalist working with Telemundo62 as an anchor on weekdays at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. since September 2019.

He has a passion for connecting with his audience and wants to be the person they trust and depend on for the most important decisions concerning them and their families.

Among the stories he has covered one of his most memorable includes the impact, Hurricane Maria had on his homeland of Puerto Rico. This was one of the most emotionally and physically challenging stories he had ever covered. Asides from witnessing a devastated island, he was also racing against time to find his family.

Previously, he worked with Telemundo47/WNJU in New York as a weekend anchor and breaking news reporter for four years. Prior to this, he was an anchor and reporter for WAPA in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Previously, he had also worked as a radio reporter, editor, and producer at WKAQ in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He is a proud graduate of Universidad de Puerto Rico, San Juan where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and Florida International University in Miami, Florida where he obtained a master’s degree in investigative journalism.

Additionally, Alberto is an award-winning journalist having been a three-time Emmy award winner and recipient of several awards from journalistic organizations in Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Europe.

He has a passion for cases related to children and families including education, health and wellness, and access to sports.

Away from his work, he loves spending time with his family, playing basketball, and restoring classic cars.
