Wright is an American journalist currently serving as a news anchor and multimedia journalist for KENS 5 based in San Antonio, Texas. Originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina, Wright moved to the Lone Star State and joined KENS 5 in January 2018. He is a proud graduate with honors from Hampton University with a bachelor of arts in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science. Prior to KENS, he served as an anchor and reporter at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee. He’s covered everything from presidential visits to major storms and the deadly Gatlinburg wildfires. Before that, he worked as an anchor and reporter at WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois. Aaron’s favorite pastimes include college football, photography and exploring the great outdoors.
